The HP 2530 Switch series is very easy to use, it provides ease to deploy and it is managed by SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) which is used to exchange the information between different network devices. It can also be managed by the web GUI.

Quality of service:

This series enables the traffic prioritization in a way that it allows real-time traffic classification/specification with the capability of eight priority levels which are mapped to either two or four queues. It is based on the Weighted Deficit Round Robin (WDRR) approach or strict priority.

It ensures the quality of service by prioritizing traffic to a specific port and by setting their priority levels. It also enables to prioritize traffic by specifying a VLAN.

Management:

HP 2530 Switch series can be managed by Web Graphical User Interface (GUI), Command Line (CLI) or by Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).

In GUI, it is HTML based and it’s easy for any administrator to configure it by using any web browser. CLI also ensures to advanced configuration and diagnostics.

Connectivity:

Allows the IPv6 host to manage the switches on the edge of IPv6 Networks. Also has the Dual Stack property (IPv4/IPv6). MLD snooping option ensures to prevent the possible flooding in the IPv6 network.

This series allows the user to port mirroring that means to mirror the specific port at any point, find & fix, inform enables to find the different problems which can occur in a network and solves them. It provides the security through Access Control List (ACLs), source port filtering and Secure Sockets layer (SSL).
